Approximately 17,000 people suffer Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) every year in the United States. These injuries are often times life altering not only for the person injured but for their family and friends. The life of someone with SCI is filled with doctors’ appointments, rehabilitation, and many challenges that those of us with full use of our bodily movements take for granted.
Founded in 2017 by Joel Edwards after his brother suffered a C3 injury in 2014 which left him paralyzed from the neck down, In The Neck of Time (ITNT) has strived to raise funds to help support those with high-level SCI injuries gain independence in their life. Funds are utilized to provide scholarships and resources for the people affected by SCI and who wish to regain a sense of independence, however that looks for him or her.
